MEMPHIS – Head coach Mike Norvell announced the hiring of new wide receivers coach Desmond Lindsey, Friday. In 2016 at Southern Miss, Lindsey coached the tight ends and helped the Golden Eagles to the New Orleans Bowl. Last season, he moved to coaching the wide receivers, helping junior wideout Korey Robertson to a breakout year, with 72 catches for 1,070 yards, 11 touchdowns and five 100-yard receiving games. Robertson's 11 touchdowns tied for eighth nationally.
"I am extremely excited about the addition of Coach Lindsey and his wife Sherita to our football family," Norvell said.
