WEST POINT, N.Y. and MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – University of Memphis senior tied a school record to highlight the Tigers' first road trip of the season last weekend. Memphis competed against Army West Point Oct. 13 and West Virginia Oct. 14.
Memphis, ranked No. 14 in the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) first regular-season poll, fell in both matches. The Tigers placed third in the Army West Point tri-match behind Ole Miss and the host school Saturday and followed with a setback to No. 2 nationally ranked West Virginia Sunday.
A week after setting career-highs in both disciplines and aggregate, Dempster tied a program record with a 596 score in air rifle in Saturday's Army West Point tri-match.
