PROVIDENCE, R.I. – University of Memphis senior Davon DeMoss has been named the American Athletic Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
It is the fourth career weekly honor for DeMoss. The accolade was DeMoss' second outdoor honor of his career. He also received recognition twice in the indoor season.
After a steady transition from the indoor campaign which saw DeMoss run at the NCAA Championships in early March, the Jackson, Tenn., native ramped it up at last week's Crimson Tide Invitational in Tuscaloosa, Ala. It was the first meet of the outdoor campaign in which DeMoss ran in three or more events.
