Dedric Lawson Named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - University of Memphis sophomore has been named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. It is Lawson's first career Player of the Week honor.

Lawson played in just one game during the week because of a break for final exams, but made the most of one game as he flirted with a triple-double with 24 points, 10 rebounds, and eight blocked shots. He hit 8-of-16 shots from the field, and 7-of-10 from the charity stripe in the game, recording his fifth 20+ scoring game of the season.
