MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis harriers garnered a total of five top-10 finishes between the men's and the women's teams at the Auto City Memphis Twilight Classic Saturday night.
The women's squad ran first in the 5k, where Chloe Figgins crossed the finish line second with a time of 17:49.56. This time was nearly 30 seconds faster than her time at the same season-opener last year (18:18.40).
Also for the women, Brooke Mussche came close to the top-10 with a 13th-place performance (19:02.77). Several athletes finished in the top-50 in a field of 121 runners.
