AUBURN, Ala. – University of Memphis sophomore won the men's javelin to lead the Tigers in first-day action at the 2016 Auburn University Tiger Track Classic Friday.
The two-day meet on The Plains resumes Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. (CT).
Criticos won the men's javelin with a 219-9 (66.99m) throw. It was Criticos' first javelin win of the 2016 outdoor season and his third-straight, top-three finish. Criticos placed third in the javelin at the Mar. 26 Vanderbilt Black & Gold Invitational and second at the Apr. 2 Southeast Missouri Joey Haines Invitational.
In other men's action, was the Tigers' top finisher in the 5000 meter run, placing 26 in a time of 15:19.
