CINCINNATI, Ohio – Memphis dug itself an early hole and was unable to rally, as Cincinnati won 8-7 Sunday to complete the sweep at Marge Schott Stadium. The Tigers (9-23, 1-8 AAC) will return home for eight of the next nine games.
Cincinnati busted out to a 6-0 lead through the first four innings, scoring two in the first, three in the second and one more in the fourth. The Bearcats tacked on two more runs in the late innings to finish off the game.
Alec Trela provided some late excitement, hitting his second home run of the weekend in the top of the ninth inning.
