PROVIDENCE, R.I. – University of Memphis senior guard , was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll Monday for his contributions in Saturday's league victory over SMU.
Brewton made a career-best six 3-pointers and finished with a team-high 20 points in the Tigers' 83-61 win at FedExForum before 16,673. Brewton, from Claxton, Ga, added a team-high three steals.
For Brewton, making his fourth start of the season, it was the first time he has received the Weekly Honor Roll recognition in his two-year career at the UofM.
In the Tigers' past four games, Brewton is averaging 16 points.
