Big Sixth-Inning too Much for Tigers

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Memphis held a 3-1 lead before East Carolina ripped off a nine-run bottom of the sixth inning to cruise to an 11-4 win Friday night at Clark-LeClair Stadium. The Tigers (26-24, 6-13 AAC) will try to even up the series Saturday at 3:00 p.m. (CT).

East Carolina jumped in front 1-0 on an opposite field solo home run by freshman first baseman Spencer Brickhouse in the second inning.

Memphis came back to take a 3-1 lead after a three-run blast by Trent Turner in the top of the sixth. Tyler Webb doubled and Chris Carrier was hit by a pitch in front of the home run.
