FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – In its first road game of the season, a big inning was too much to overcome as the Memphis baseball team dropped a 10-3 outing at No. 12 Arkansas Wednesday night at Baum-Walker Stadium.
Arkansas plated seven runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to grab its second lead of the day and didn't look back. Starting his first game of the season, junior LHP Danny Denz was tagged for the loss after surrendering three runs on four hits while striking out two in 4.2 innings pitched.
At the dish, senior Jason Santana went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two extra base hits, including his first home run of the season.
