Big Fourth Inning Dooms Tigers

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Cincinnati scored six unearned runs in the fourth inning and knocked off Memphis 7-2 to win the series Saturday at Marge Schott Stadium. The Tigers (9-22, 1-7 American) will try to salvage the series against the Bearcats Sunday at noon (CT).

The Bearcats scored in the first inning to take a 1-0 lead but the Tigers answered in the top of the fourth to tie the game up.

Alec Trela and Tyler Webb both hit one-out singles for the Tigers' first hits of the game. With two outs, Colton Neel delivered a single up the middle to score Trela from second base and make the score 1-1.
