Ambrosius, Namkang tie for 2nd; Memphis men’s golf fires Hoosier Invitational best final round to finish fourth

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Sophomore Phuripon Namkang and junior Oscar Ambrosius tied for second as Memphis carded the lowest Hoosier Invitational final round Sunday to finish fourth at the Pfau Course at Indiana University. Borja Martin was the third Tiger with a top-seven finish.

Ambrosius, who did not count towards the team score by virtue of playing as an individual, fired a 5-under 66 to tie with Namkang at 7-over 220, five shots behind medalist James Piot of Michigan State. Ambrosius, from Viborg, Denmark, improved immensely each round with scores of 81-73-66.
