KANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Memphis freshman forward Precious Achiuwa was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 24 first team Monday. Voting was conducted by NABC member coaches.
District 24 encompasses teams in the American Athletic Conference. The NABC selects first and second teams from 24 districts around the country.
Joining Achiuwa, who resides in Queens, N.Y., on the first team were Jarron Cumberland of Cincinnati, Jayden Gardner of East Carolina, Nate Hinton of Houston and Quinton Rose of Temple. Tulsa's Frank Haith was named Coach of the Year.
