MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Following a 2-0 weekend to open league play, a trio of women's soccer players were named American Athletic Conference Players of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
was named the league's Offensive Player of the Week, was named the Defensive Player of the Week and was tabbed Goalkeeper of the Week.
Murphy netted three goals in the first weekend of conference play, including both game-winners to defeat Cincinnati and ECU. Murphy scored the game's first two goals against the Bearcats as Memphis claimed a 5-0 win on Thursday.
In the weekend finale, Murphy tallied the Golden Goal in the 93 minute to help Memphis capture a 2-1 victory against ECU.
