MEMPHIS, Tenn. – In the season's second American Athletic Conference weekly awards list, Memphis women's soccer tallied two superlatives and an honor roll nod, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Senior Stasia Mallin was named the Defensive Player of the Week, junior goalkeeper Elizabeth Moberg was named the Goalkeeper of the Week and senior Serena Dolan was listed to the weekly Honor Roll.
Mallin opened the Tigers' two-match road trip with a goal at No. 18 Kansas, when her direct score off a corner kick gave Memphis an early lead. On Sunday's win at Omaha, Mallin anchored a backline that pitched its second shutout of the season.
