A woman who accused Memphis Grizzlies star Zach Randolph of strangling her at a hotel in Los Angeles in March was reportedly lying.
According to a TMZ report Wednesday, the woman behind the allegations said she "made up" the incident after an argument with Randolph because “she was upset and decided to file a fabricated police report and ‘just wanted to get his money.’”
The woman told police in a March 31 interview she did have an argument with Randolph, but he did not touch her, per the report. The accuser said she and a friend were responsible for injuries visible on her back and neck in an effort to blame Randolph.
