Small forward Chandler Parsons won’t play in Wednesday’s season opener. On the bright side, ESPN’s Tim MacMahon confirmed that Parsons has “no problems” with his knee. While it’s disappointing for the Memphis Grizzlies fans, they should be optimistic about this decision.
What it means for the opener
The Grizzlies’ opponent for Wednesday won’t be a cakewalk. They’ll open their season against the newest NBA darling, the Minnesota Timberwolves. Because of Chandler Parsons’ absence, the Grizzlies will have a difficult time trying to pull out a “W.”
Without Parsons, the Memphis Grizzlies will need to look at other wing options.
