Memphis Grizzlies Television Play-by-Play Announcer Pete Pranica has been nominated for Tennessee State Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sports Media Association (NSMA), the team announced today. The nomination is Pranica’s fifth career nomination for Tennessee State Sportscaster of the Year.
Finalists were nominated by NSMA members in their state, who between October 15 and November 15, nominated up to three people for each category. The top two vote-getters (plus ties) are placed on the final ballot in the state categories, top ten (plus ties) go on the National ballot, which will be voted on by NSMA members throughout the month of December.
