The Memphis Grizzlies started the season 12-5, but a lot of that success was due to good team play rather than just one player taking over. They did have impressive performances during that time, but they weren’t as star oriented during that time.
They would ride the hot hand and that’s the reason they were so good to start the season. Some struggles, later on, led to them finishing with a 33-49 record, but late in the season, they did start to get going again when they brought in a lot of new faces.
