The Memphis Grizzlies have always been a team that prides themselves on the defensive end. Being a good defensive team isn’t going to win you as many games as it once did though.
That doesn’t mean defense is useless in today’s game. The Grizzlies defensive intensity has been one of the main reasons they have gotten off to their 8-5 start to the season.
For a team that plays a slow pace like the Grizzlies, you have to be able to get easy buckets and they have done that.
They aren’t a great half-court offensive team but they have been able to find ways to combat that by creating turnovers to get easy baskets.
