The Memphis Grizzlies are stuck in a pickle going into free agency. They have eight roster spots occupied by players that are 23 years old or younger. They have also have two important free agents that both happen to play the same position. One power forward is a folk legend around Memphis and losing him would be a big blow to the city’s morale. However, his style of play isn’t with the time. Whereas, the other power forward fits the “modern NBA” prototype: a big man who can space the floor and defend multiple positions.
This “modern NBA” big man, JaMychal Green, is set for a pay raise this summer.
