Granted, they won’t be able to trade for a star player or for a first-round pick, but that doesn’t stop them from making a play to land a second-round pick or a decent rotation player. Maybe they get lucky and trade for a pick that becomes the next Draymond Green or Paul Millsap (two star players went were drafted in the second round).
