After speculation regarding the seriousness of his injury, the Memphis Grizzlies announced Tuesday morning that Marc Gasol is out for the remainder of the season after going through successful surgery on his injured right foot.
The center wasn’t having his best year of his career but he was still putting up significant numbers and piloting the team towards playoff contention yet again with his 16.6 points, 7.0 and 3.8 assists per game.
Gasol is still arguably one of the top big men in the NBA so his absence hurts the Grizzlies on the court.
