In my preview for the game I wrote that containing the Utah Jazz backcourt of Trey Burke and Gordon Hayward were two significant keys to a Memphis Grizzlies win.
Unfortunately I didn’t account for another Jazz perimeter dynamo: Rodney Hood.
The second-year guard out of Duke scored a career-high 32 points in Utah’s 92-87 win over the Grizzlies. Burke and Hayward were held to 23 points on a combined 8-of-23 shooting, but it was Hood’s night as he dominated with his jump shot.
