Kyle Anderson joined the Memphis Grizzlies this past Summer on a 4 year, $37.2 million deal. The Spurs had the option to match but they decided not to do so.
Anderson was welcomed to Memphis by a mixed reaction from the fans and the media. If you look solely at the numbers, this didn’t seem to be a good deal for the Grizzlies to make.
What Anderson brings to the team though is much more. He was thought to be the perfect small forward for the new grit-and-grind era in Memphis.
Anderson was beaten out by Chandler Parsons for the starting job in training camp.
