Dating back to the summer of 2017, it was a a tough time for the Memphis Grizzlies fan base. In the midst of NBA Free Agency, the Front Office had made up their minds. They were not going to renew the contracts of Zach Randolph and Tony Allen.
Both guys were franchise legends, but were aging. The Grizzlies’ Front Office had to be the bad guy(s) and do what was best for the team — invest in the young guys. It was a major change for Grizz fans, some of which only knowing the “Grit-‘N’-Grind” era.
