The Memphis Grizzlies came into this season expecting to compete for the playoffs. They picked up some key pieces in Kyle Anderson, Garrett Temple, and Jaren Jackson Jr. and they felt those guys would be enough to help them get into the postseason.
The first quarter of the season displayed that as they played at a very high level, especially on the defensive end of the floor. They were even on top of the western conference at one point when they had a 12-5 record. After that point, they really struggled though as the season went downhill quickly.
