There’s just something about a dunk that’s magical. Even in the lowest moments, it could lift the crowd’s spirits. In the most electrifying games, a dunk could about blow the roof off of the arena. Even when the away team has a nice dunk, you can hear the ooh’s whisper in the stadium. When you’re watching a road game at your house, a poster dunk gets you off the couch.
It’s just something else.
Before the Memphis Grizzlies went on their seven-year playoff run, they weren’t the most enjoyable team to watch. Having a good dunker or two made the games bearable when they were winning less than 25 games.
