Mario Chalmers' time with the Memphis Grizzlies has come to an end. The team announced Thursday it has waived the point guard after acquiring him in a November trade.
“Mario did an incredible job for us since coming to Memphis,” said general manager Chris Wallace in a statement. “Right from the start, he embraced his change of scenery and endeared himself to his teammates and coaches on the court and the Memphis community off of it.”
Chalmers was ruled out for the rest of the season with a ruptured right Achilles earlier in the day.
