The Grizzlies reached 10 wins in the month of December for the first time in franchise history Thursday via a 114-80 win against the Oklahoma City Thunder in front of a sellout crowd at FedExForum. Memphis is now 13-7 at home this season and 10-6 in December.
The win snapped a four-game winning streak for Oklahoma City. It was Memphis’ largest margin of victory this season.
While the Grizzlies led the majority of the first half to that point, they owned only a 40-37 lead with 4:43 to go in the second quarter. Memphis proceeded to go on a 15-2 run to close the half sparked by a tough fadeaway three-pointer from the corner by Vince Carter.
