Grizzlies slip to Cavaliers in home opener

It was a festive atmosphere in FedExForum for Opening Night, but the celebration was not on the court where the Memphis Grizzlies lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers 106-76 on Wednesday evening.

The Grizzlies dropped to 0-1 on the season and are now 1-14 in home openers since moving to Memphis in 2001. Last season against the Minnesota Timberwolves was the team’s lone home-opening win.
