The Grizzlies locked down the five seed in the Western Conference playoff picture by defeating the Indiana Pacers 95-83 Wednesday night at FedExForum. With injuries to all-important players Mike Conley and Tony Allen, Memphis’ All-Star center Marc Gasol stepped up in a big way.
Gasol finished the 2014-15 regular season with a bang, recording a dominating career-high 33 points on 13-of-19 (.684) and 13 rebounds with two steals. He also finished the year with 20 double-doubles.
Gasol was the main ingredient in the key separation the Grizzlies were able to achieve in the second quarter in which they outscored the Pacers 32-17.
