The Memphis Grizzlies fell 104-85 to the Charlotte Hornets at home on Monday night, splitting the season series at one game apiece.
The Hornets led 37-35 with 5:32 remaining in the second quarter before scoring 11 straight points as part of a 19-4 run to end the first half.
Charlotte continued to attack offensively in the third quarter. Leading with 71-57 with 2:41 left in the third period, Charlotte scored nine straight points to go up 23 points (80-57) with 53.8 seconds left in the quarter. Memphis never got closer than 13 points for the rest of the game.
