With many of the Memphis Grizzlies stars on the bench, Head Coach Dave Joerger turned to his bench, who delivered in a 94-78 win against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night at FedExForum.
With the win, Memphis moved to 4-0 in the preseason for only the third time in franchise history, and the first since the team went a perfect 8-0 in the 2010-11 preseason. The Thunder (3-1) recorded their first loss of the preseason slate.
Even without familiar faces such as Tony Allen, Zach Randolph or Marc Gasol, the Grizzlies defense was relentless and held Oklahoma City to 36.
