The Memphis Grizzlies earned their second straight win Monday by defeating the Phoenix Suns 115-96 at Talking Stick Resort Arena. Memphis has now won 10 of the last 12 meetings in the series.
Memphis’ 115 points tied a season-high for points in regulation by the Grizzlies.
Both teams were in a groove offensively for most of the first half, but the Grizzlies defense tightened up late in the second period. They held the Suns to just three points in the final 3:09 of the second period and outscored them 23-7 during a 6:41 span over the second and third quarters to extend their lead to 20.
