Marc Gasol decided to be less analytical and more assertive on the offensive end. The Memphis Grizzlies liked the results.
Gasol scored a career-high 38 points to go with 13 rebounds and four blocks, and the Grizzlies beat the New Orleans Pelicans 113-104 on Tuesday night. Gasol's performance represented a significant departure from his previous five games, when he twice failed to score in double digits and never had more than 15 points.
"It's been a tough week to 10 days as far as me playing and I wanted to take a different approach to the game and it worked," Gasol said.
