It's a confusing time for Maryland Terrapins basketball, and conflicting reports on Diamond Stone's NBA draft decision on Monday didn't help the matter.
Though it isn't entirely clear yet, Stone has no obvious reason not to declare for June's draft, as he can just pull his name out and return to college if he doesn't like where his draft stock is at by May 25 -- as long as he doesn't hire an agent, which as far as anyone knows, he hasn't yet.
Stone headlined the class of potential one-and-dones before the season started, and three months ago, most of College Park assumed he'd be a one-year rental en route to a Final Four.
