Watch Bruno Fernando hear his name called at the NBA Draft

Maryland center Bruno Fernando fell to the second round of the NBA Draft, but he found an incredibly comfortable landing spot.

The Angolan center was selected 34th overall Thursday night, but a draft-night trade sent him from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Atlanta Hawks. He’ll be reunited with former college teammate Kevin Huerter and join forces with fellow Maryland big man Alex Len. That means three of the four Terps in the NBA will be on the same team (Jake Layman is an extended rotation player for the Portland Trailblazers).

Fernando was widely expected to go in the first round, but ultimately slipped just a few picks past it.
