University regents expected to vote Friday on name change for Byrd Stadium - Baltimore Sun
University System of Maryland Board of Regents is expected to vote on Friday on a recommendation from Maryland president Dr. Wallace Loh to change the name of Byrd Stadium — a move that would end the long debated issue of whether the school should honor the late campus president who opposed integration. The proposal has the support of chancellor Robert Caret.
I think it is fairly certain that the Regents will approve Loh's recommendation to remove Byrd's name from Maryland's stadium.
