Terps in the NFL: Regular season comes to an end

Eight former Maryland football players finished the NFL regular season with a chance to play for the Super Bowl.

Wide receiver Stefon Diggs and running back Ty Johnson, both on the Buffalo Bills, helped clinch the No. 2 seed in the AFC after beating the Miami Dolphins in the regular season finale.

Diggs had struggled in the home stretch of the season, but had 87 yards on seven receptions against the Dolphins. He finished the regular season ranking seventh in the league in receptions, also totaling over 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns.

Johnson had on-and-off usage throughout the year, with 30 total carries for 130 rushing yards and seven receptions for 62 yards.
