Maryland freshman football players Lorenzo Harrison and DJ Turner have been cleared of all charges stemming from an alleged BB gun incident on campus in November, the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Office confirmed on Wednesday.
Harrison and Turner each had been originally charged with three counts of second-degree assault, three counts of reckless endangerment and one count of school molestation, which is levied when a student or individual has been threatened with bodily harm on university property, for their alleged roles in the incident on Nov. 6.
“Charges were dropped due to insufficient evidence to go forward,” said Gina Ford, who serves as the public information officer for the state’s attorney office.
