Volleyball: Maryland won four matches over Penn, Howard, Western Carolina and George Mason last weekend to win the D.C. Classic. The Terps are 8-0 on the season, the team’s best start since 2005. Freshman Liz Twilley and junior Ashlyn MacGregor were named to the all-tournament team while Twilley was named the Classic’s MVP. Twilley posted 45 kills in four matches while MacGregor notched 25 kills and 21 blocks. The Terps will travel to Navy for the Kristen Dickmann Invitational next weekend.
Women’s soccer: Sophomores Madison Turner and Alex Anthony notched goals over the span of 1 minute 21 seconds in the second half to lift the Terps over SMU on Sunday.
