Duquesne forward L.G. Gill reportedly will finish his college basketball career at Maryland.
Gill, a graduate transfer, visited College Park over the weekend and also was considering Marquette.
Last season, as a junior, Gill averaged 10.1 points and 6.5 rebounds per game on 43.9 percent shooting, all career highs. More than half of the field goals he attempted were 3-pointers, and he shot 34.4 percent from beyond the arc.
The 6-foot-7, 210-pounder is from Chesterfield, Va.
His addition is critical to a frontcourt that loses Robert Carter Jr. and Jake Layman to the NBA and returns Damonte Dodd, Michal Cekovsky and Ivan Bender.
