Another year, another championship for Brenda Frese and Maryland women’s basketball.
The Terps claimed sole possession of the Big Ten regular season title with a 88-61 victory over Penn State Saturday.
Normally Frese wouldn’t have her team celebrate until it won the Big Ten tournament; after all, the goal is always making a deep run in March. But after seeing her squad prevail through the most challenging and unprecedented season in college basketball, she decided it was time for the Terps to soak their accomplishment in. Still, the goal remains a national championship.
