Redshirt senior wide receiver DJ Turner announced his transfer to the University of Pittsburgh Tuesday after entering the portal on Aug. 21.
“My decision to leave Maryland was solely because of the season being cancelled. I have love and have respect for everyone at Maryland, from the head coach down to the janitors!” Turner told Testudo Times. “I feel like playing in the fall is what’s best for me and my family, and Pitt was the best place for my to play at!”
Turner’s start to this year’s campaign has been anything but ordinary.
The Prince George’s County native announced back in May that he and his girlfriend are expecting a child together, due in October.
