Maryland student-athletes that have acquired their undergraduate degrees will have a commemorative patch on their uniforms, Maryland Athletics announced earlier today.
The uniforms will be debuting this week for the lot of Maryland sports that are currently in-season, including football, field hockey, men’s and women’s soccer as well as volleyball. The word “GRADUATE” will be displayed on their jersey.
“Earning your college degree is an achievement that takes discipline, commitment, and perseverance. We are proud of our student-athletes who have achieved excellence in the classroom while also competing at the highest level,” Maryland Athletics Director Damon Evans said in a press release.
