MM 8.17: Aaron Wiggins signs two-way deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder

One of Maryland men’s basketball’s former players officially signed an NBA contract as Aaron Wiggins inked a deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder, the team announced on Sunday.

Wiggins signed what is known to be a two-way contract with the team that drafted him at the No. 55 overall spot in this year’s NBA Draft.

In the 2021 NBA Summer League, he averaged 11.5 points over the course of four games and chipped in with five rebounds and 1.5 steals per game as well. Wiggins averaged over 24 minutes per game in what was a solid exhibition of his abilities.
