The Maryland men’s and women’s basketball teams will both participate in the 2021 Baha Mar Hoops Event, which is set to to take place in November in the Bahamas, the programs jointly announced Wednesday afternoon.
The men will compete in a four-team tournament that includes the likes of Richmond, Louisville and Mississippi State. The Terps will initially take on Richmond in the semifinals on November 25, and if they manage to advance, they will face either Louisville or Mississippi State in the final round on November 27.
The Maryland women’s basketball program will also face a couple of strong Division I teams in its field.
