MM 5.7: Maryland women’s basketball’s Tai Kozlova to attend Russian U20 Team trials

Maryland women’s basketball freshman guard Tai Kozlova will attend the Russian Basketball Federation’s U20 Team trails next week.

Kozlova was a late addition to the Terps’ incoming 2020 class ahead of last season and proved to be a strong find for head coach Brenda Frese and her staff.

As a freshman, Kozlova saw action in 20 games, scoring 2.3 points per game while shooting 43.2% from the floor, 45% from three-point range and going a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line.

Maryland women’s basketball has flexed its muscle of young international talent in the past few weeks, with sophomore guards Ashley Owusu and Diamond Miller making the USA Basketball AmeriCup roster and freshman forward Angel Reese accepting an invitation to the U19 World Cup trials.
