Both the Maryland men’s and women’s lacrosse teams have players nominated for the Tewaaraton Award.
Men’s lacrosse senior attackers Jared Bernhardt and Logan Wisnaukas have been named nominees while women’s lacrosse defender Lizzie Colson and midfielder Grace Griffin also earned the honors.
Only 25 men’s lacrosse and 25 women’s lacrosse players nationwide are named as nominees for the award with five finalists being selected next month.
Starting with Bernhardt and Wisnauskas, the powerhouse duo, among the best in the nation, have led the 9-0 team this season to a No. 1 ranking.
The attackmen certainly have stats to watch, with Bernhardt holding the nation scoring average and Wisnaukas holding an impressive 200 career goals, the pair is a force to be reckoned with.
